Falafel with Za atar and Aleppo Pepper
Intro
Ingredients
1/4 cup fresh mint
1/4 cup fresh parsley
2 - 15 oz cans chickpeas, drained and rinsed
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 teaspoons salt
1/4 cup grated carrot
2 tablespoons Za'atar Seasoning
2 teaspoons Aleppo Pepper
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil sprayed with cooking spray. Set aside.
2. In the bowl of a food processor fitted with a metal blade, add the mint and parsley. Pulse until finely chopped. Add in the chickpeas, flour, salt, olive oil, and salt. Pulse for 20 seconds or until all ingredients are incorporated.
3. Transfer the mixture to a mixing bowl. Stir in the carrots, Za'atar and Aleppo Pepper.
4. Roll the mixture into tablespoon size balls and arrange on the prepared pan. Bake for 12- 15 minutes. Make delectable pita sandwiches with your favorite tzatziki or serve as a an appetizer.
